The Temecula-based Xtreme travel baseball club earned a championship at the “Thumpin Lumber 12U Wood Bat Tournament” this past weekend at Welch Park in Wildomar.
The weekend tournament was played with wood bats only and gave the players a chance to experience baseball in its purest form.

The Xtreme won the wood bat tournament with outstanding pitching and defense, capped by a 3-1 win in the championship game against the SoCal Bruins.

The Xtreme pitchers gave up only nine runs throughout the entire four games they played.
The tournament also featured a wood bat Home Run Derby won by the Xtreme’s Devin Castro.
