I took a black frame and painted it pink. Sanded down the edges, added a piece of cream burlap to my frame back and stuck the nest on with a push pin. I hung it in the downstairs bathroom on an empty wall. This is the first "pink" anything I have ever had in my house. I think I've started something new and I like it. It's hard to tell, but my walls are a blue/gray so the pink looks pretty against it.
Just look at the way this was made. Awesome! The eggs are fake.

That is one of the cutest ways of displaying a birds nest I have ever seen. The added piece of branch above it is a little detail that just brings it all together and the pink frame really sets it off. I just love it!
What you did with this is lovely. I do hope you sprayed it with bug killer-sometimes there are bird lice in them.
What a cool thing to do! I love the pink frame with the sanded edges too!
Cute!

That really turned out nice. I love bird's nests too and nothing better than a real one! I enjoyed reading your post about your bird watching since I am doing the same. I'm enamored by the little birds now. My husband laughs at me because I stand at the window just to see their little heads pop up. They were pretty active this afternoon! I think they were crying out to their mama for more food.
Enjoy your evening.

I like the pink instead of the what would be the expected blue for the frame. Oh, and thank you for letting us know they were fake eggs! :)
