Chic Candy Dish

Wednesday I went to the Dollar Tree and was just walking around....getting my "creative" on, and I spotted these cute little candle holders.

After I got home I kept looking at them without knowing exactly what to do with them.  As I had them sitting on my desk, I put one on top of the other.  I knew what I was going to do with them.  So I found an old cheap strand of fake pearls and put them in the candle holder.  Then I got my E600 and glued the two glass holders together.

I hung a charm on a small chain and hung it from the top.  Filled it with butterscotch chips (because seriously, my hips can't take any more Easter candy around here) plus I like the color, and found a lid from one of my other apothecary jars I no longer use.  I LOVE IT.  So for $2.00 I have a great little dish.

Oh, so pretty! This inspires me to glue something, fill it with something, hang something from it....very creative :)

Did you make that charm? I keep seeing them and have to add them to my to-do list (the one that's super long already!)

Great idea! I once used those little votive holders w/ a larger hurricane but it didn't look right--but I love what you've done here! Thanks for sharing!

Your blog is so cute! And what a great idea--I love the pearls. Anything with pearls is a winner in my book.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? The marriage of all those individual pieces created a very happy union, indeed! ;)

Thanks for linking to the party. I hope you'll join me each week. The rules are simple: link any family friendly post, link back to my blog, and have fun.

Have a great weekend!

I think you can still buy rosette irons on Amazon, etc. I wish I had my mom's...they were well seasoned...I'll have to look for them next time we visit :)

This is really creative. Since you are a cook, I like that you filled it with butterscotch chips...something that is a part of what you like to do. Makes it a very personalized piece.
